Andrea decides to discontinue the affair but remains at Runway working as Miranda's assistant. Miranda feels betrayed by Andrea and becomes increasingly cruel towards her. Andrea is tormented by her feelings for Miranda. She eventually has a breakdown, gets into a serious car accident, and dies. Miranda is devastated by Andre! a's death.
